FFA CORNERS 2006-2007

Hi, my name is Zach. I am a sophomore at Chillicothe High School. This is my second year as an FFA member and I have my Chapter FFA Degree.

My SAE is on cattle and chicken ownership project. My future plans are to incubate the chickenís fertilized eggs and raise the chicks. I am involved in track, soccer, band, FBLA, and FCA. I enjoy the field trips that we have in ag and the trips to the ag center. I also like the teachers, which make learning more fun.

Hi, my name is Kyle, and I am a senior at Breckenridge High School.

This is my first year in FFA. Iím currently playing football and softball, in the past I have played basketball and summer baseball. I am a member of FCCLA and FCA. The classes I enjoy in FFA are Ag Management and Large Animal Science.

Hi, my name is Kristen. I am a sophomore at Southwest High School. I currently hold my Chapter FFA Degree. In the past my SAE project was raising chickens. My current SAE is taking care of my lab dog, Scout. Other activities I am involved in are FCA, FCCLA, Hi-Step, NHS, Student Council, cheerleading, basketball, softball, track and flags. I love everything about FFA! I enjoy all the activities from FFA camp, monthly meeting, Barnwarming, to meeting all the new people. Hi my name is Tyler. I am a sophomore at CHS and a member in FFA. I have received my Chapter FFA Degree. During my freshman year I mowed lawns, which I used for my SAE project. Next year I plan on purchasing my own lawnmower. Some of the other activities that I am in are Hunting and Fishing Club. I enjoy being in FFA and the fun activities that it allows me to be involved in.
Hi! My name is Whitney. I am a sophomore at CHS and I am in my second year of FFA. I currently hold the Chapter FFA Degree.

My SAE project is raising and showing a steer at our county fair. I try to be very active in helping my grandfather, Al Bonderer, on his farm when it comes to our steers. We work hard and do our best to succeed in a good sale. My freshmen year I participated in Barnwarming and American Royal along with other fun-filled, well experienced activities. These two were my most memorable. Other than FFA, I am also involved in FBLA, FCCLA, Hunting and Fishing Club, and Junior Sorosis Pledges. After high school I plan on going to college and studying in x-ray technician and radiology.

Being in FFA is a great way to meet new people and be involved in the community. It also allows me many opportunities. I encourage others to be involved in FFA.

Hello, I am Tyler, a sophomore at CHS and my second year in FFA. I am the assistant Vice President of the Chillicothe FFA Chapter. I currently hold a Chapter FFA Degree. I received the State Bank Award, the Hy-Vee award for high on knowledge team, and one gold Leadership award. I am planning to go to Mizzou and major in education.

My SAE consist of four market hogs, two breeding sows, four breeding gilts and one boar. Besides FFA I am involved in Science Club, Hunting and Fishing Club, and 4-H. I also enjoy shotgun sports and showing hogs.

FFA is a very good experience. You learn responsibility and meet many new friends. It was very fun to be in Ag this year.

Hi! My name is Whitney. I am a sophomore at Chillicothe High School and I am in my second year of FFA. I currently hold the Chapter FFA Degree.

My SAE project consists of swine and equine. I am also involved in other activities at my school such as, FCCLA, JSP, Hunting and fishing club, Softball and Basketball.

My freshman year was a blast! FFA has a lot of activities and trips you can get involved in. I enjoy showing at all of the fairs and meeting new people. FFA has taught me a lot about taking responsibility and other leadership skills.

Hi Iím Trevor. Iím a sophomore at CHS. Iím in my second year of FFA. This year Iím the Co-Historian for the Assistant Officer Team. I currently hold the Chapter FFA Degree.

My SAE project for this year was showing two Netherland dwarf rabbits. For next year I plan on building a trailer in Ag construction class.

Last year I attended activities such as Barnwarming, American royal, FFA camp, and officer retreat. Other activities Iím in are Hunting and Fishing club and Student Council. I really enjoy FFA and plan on being in it a long time.

Hi, my name is Hannah. I am a sophomore at Southwest High School. This is my second year of FFA and I hold the Chapter FFA Degree.

Currently my SAE project is 10 feeder pigs. Other activities Iím involved in besides FFA are FCCLA, FCA, NHS, Student Council, Hi-Step, Cheerleading, basketball, track, and flags.

I love everything about FFA! Its so much fun! I enjoy Barnwarming, FFA camp, FFA week, meetings, meeting new people and the fair. I encourage everyone to be in FFA. Itís the best!

Hi! My name is Justin. I am a sophomore at Southwest High School. After high school, I plan on attended college to become a radiologist.

During my freshman year my SAE project consisted of 7 rabbits as well as working at McDonalds. I plan to continue these projects until I leave for college. Some of the other activities I am involved in are FCCLA, FCA, basketball, baseball, softball, and track.

I like being in FFA because it is really fun and you can meet a lot of new people. If you actually pay attention you can learn something as well.

Hi! My name is Maddie, and I am a sophomore at Chillicothe High School. This is my second year in the FFA. I am a Chapter Degree holder and also hold the office of Assistant Parliamentarian.

My SAE project this year involves growing grapes. I currently am raising fifty plants and hope to have them in the ground by this spring. In the future I plan to turn my grapes into a vineyard. Outside of the FFA I am involved in many activities like golf, track, basketball, cheerleading, Hunting and Fishing club, FBLA and Spanish Club.

I enjoy FFA because of fun activities like Barnwarming and the American Royal, and also contest teams like public speaking. I participated in the dairy foods contest team last year and received the Hy-Vee award, and also won the local creed speaking contest.

Hello there, my name is Steve, and this would be my second year as a member of the FFA at Chillicothe High School. My SAE project is helping my dad work at our family farm. Soon I plan to get a job to add to my SAE project.

Besides FFA, I plan to join some other school clubs like Key Club, and Science Club. I am also planning on playing baseball in the spring.

In my freshman year I had a ton of fun in FFA. I would definitely recommend FFA as a club to join. Oh ya, and despite what people have told you the teachers are really nice and especially cool.

Hello, my name is Lauren. I am a sophomore at Southwest High School. This is my second year in FFA and I hold the Chapter FFA Degree.

My SAE project is a Palomino mare, miniature beagle, and a crossbred beef cow. Other activities I am involved in are FCA, FCCLA, High-Step, and the Braymer Saddle Club. In the future I plan to attend college and become a writer.

 
Hello, my name is Heather. I am an Agriculture Education major from Missouri State University. I am doing my student teaching this semester at the Grand River Technical School and Chillicothe High School. I was not raised on a farm, but started my SAE project with a South Down ewe and a couple of market lambs. I eventually started showing Braunvieh cattle and served as Junior Braunvieh Association of America President.

In college I was active in Sigma Alpha, a professional agricultural sorority, Block and Bridle and Collegiate Farm Bureau. I am very excited to be in such a supportive town! Everyone I have met has been very helpful and I am very thankful for all the help we have received.

Hi, my name is Laura Petty. I am one of the student teachers for the Agriculture Department at Grand River Technical School and Chillicothe High School. I grew up on a beef cattle and row crop farm outside of Smithville, MO. I have been attending Missouri State University for going on 5 years now and will be graduating this May after finishing this semester of student teaching.

I was very involved with FFA in high school and was the chapter president my senior year. In college I have been very involved with Sigma Alpha, a professional sorority for women pursuing careers in agriculture and Delta Tau Alpha, the national agriculture honor society. I am enjoying Chillicothe very much and I look forward to my next few months here. Everyone I have met has been very friendly and gone out of their way to help myself and Miss Raines. I would just like to thank the town of Chillicothe for the great experience I know that I will have this semester. 

Hi! My name is Lindy. I am a sophomore at CHS. I currently hold my Chapter FFA Degree.

My SAE project is working with my mom at her daycare. My plans in the future are to get a steer to show at the fair.

I enjoyed participating in Barnwarming, American Royal, and many of the meetings. Activities I am involved in other than FFA include: softball, track, SADD, FCCLA, and Key Club. Being in FFA has taught me many important skills needed for life. Itís a great way to meet new people. I encourage everyone to be involved in the FFA.

Hi, my name is Michael. I am a sophomore at CHS. I am a member of the Chillicothe FFA with my Chapter FFA Degree.

During my freshman year, I had a SAE project that consisted of two market hogs. I plan to own and show hogs my whole high school career.

I enjoy being a member of the Chillicothe FFA and showing animals at the fair.

Hi, my name is Hannah. I am a sophomore at Chillicothe High School and a member of the FFA. After high school my plans are to attend college at Missouri Western and become an OB nurse.
My SAE project is raising and showing my goat.

My freshman year in FFA was very fun! I participated in Barnwarming, American Royal, and many monthly meetings. Activities I am involved in other than the FFA include; Key Club, FCCLA, and SADD. FFA has taught me responsibility and teamwork. It has also given me many opportunities that I wouldnít have experienced otherwise. I would encourage everyone to join the FFA.

Hi my name is Levi. I am a sophomore at Chillicothe High School and a member of FFA. I currently hold the Chapter FFA Degree. My SAE project is a South African Boer Wether goat. In my future SAE projects I plan to raise goats again.

Some of the FFA activities I enjoy are going to American Royal, Barn warming, and Fieldtrips. I plan to stay in FFA my whole high school career. FFA is a fun club to be in and can be beneficial to careers that you might choose in the future.

Hi! My name is Hannah. I am a sophomore at Chillicothe High School and in my second year of FFA.

For my SAE project I will be babysitting and taking care of my horse Moon. I plan on attended to NCMC after high school.

My activities other than FFA include FCCLA and Hunting and Fishing Club. The things that I enjoy about the FFA are Barnwarming, American Royal, and just getting together at all the meetings and having a great time.

Hello, my name is Jake, and I am a sophomore at CHS. I currently have the Chapter FFA Degree. My SAE project last year was my steer, and this year I plan on using my job at Hy-Vee. I plan on attending college and becoming a state patrol or have something to do in the conservation department after I graduate.

I play football, I wrestle, and I am a part of the Hunting and Fishing Club. In FFA, I enjoy Barnwarming, American Royal, and going on all of the other trips. The teachers are nice and we have lots of fun.

Hi! My name is Meredith and Iím a sophomore at Southwest High School. I currently hold the Chapter FFA Degree and am the Assistant Officer Treasurer.

My SAE project consists of four bucket calves and helping my dad on our family farm. Next year I plan to work at Murphyís Photography Studio.

Besides FFA, I am involved in FCA, FCCLA, Hi-Step, NHS, Student Council, basketball, softball, cheerleading, track, and flags.

I really enjoy being in FFA. Itís a great organization. I liked going to Barnwarming, State Convention, the Officer Retreat, FFA camp, the Leadership Adventure, and all the monthly meetings. FFA gives you many opportunities and teaches you many life and leadership skills.

My SAE project is working for a local farmer and taking care of 11 cow/calf pairs. In the future I plan to increase my herd by adding 3 cows. Other activities I am involved in are basketball, softball, baseball, and FCA. I enjoy exhibiting at the fairs and making friends with people from other towns and states at FFA activities. I would encourage anyone to join FFA.

Hi! My name is Seth. I am a junior at Southwest High School and I am in my third year of FFA. My SAE project is growing soybeans. My plan for the future is to attend the University of Kentucky where my major is still undecided.

My freshman year was very fun in FFA because we got to learn about a lot of cool stuff. I participated in Barnwarming and American Royal. Activities I am involved in other than FFA include: softball, basketball, baseball, FCA, and FCCLA. Being in FFA has given me different ways to think about agriculture and I have learned a lot of stuff about agriculture. It also gives you opportunities to meet new people and make lots of new friends.

Hi! My name is Katie and I am a second vice-president in the Chillicothe FFA Chapter. I have also been the Hale Chapter Vice-President and Secretary. I am a junior at Hale High School and currently hold the Chapter FFA Degree. As my Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE), I raise swine and poultry on my small farm outside of Dawn, MO.

Some of the things I enjoy about FFA are the meetings, the Chautauqua Petting Zoo, Parents Night, the annual Local Banquet and Barnwarming. I am also involved in 4-H, Cheerleading, Student Council and SADD. I think FFA is a great organization because it has helped me to get to know a lot of new people and has taught me many skills that I will use later in life. My future plans are to attend college after high school to become an ag teacher.

Hello my name is Colton. I am a sophomore at Chillicothe High School.

I currently have two SAE projects, swine and goats. I have a Chapter FFA Degree. During my freshman year I received my Greenhand Degree, Gold Eagle participation award, Singer Locker award to pay for FFA Camp, and was on the dairy foods contest team.

I play tennis, soccer, and run cross country. I am in the hunting and fishing club and participate in many of its activities. During FFA activities I have met and be-friend many new people. FFA for me is about learning new skills that I will use now and later in my life.

Hi! My name is Felicia. I am a sophomore, at Chillicothe High School. This is my second year of being in FFA and I hold the Chapter FFA Degree.

My SAE project at this point includes mowing yards to make a profit. Other activities I am involved in are: CHS Basketball cheerleader, CHS Players, and I am a member in my youth group.

Things I like about FFA include Barnwarming, going on trips, meeting new people from all kinds of places, and all the laughs you share with each other. If youíre not in FFA, I would recommend you to give it a chance. Not only is it a fun class to be inÖyou could learn something you might just think is pretty cool!

Iím Danyll; Iím a sophomore at Chillicothe High School. I currently have my Chapter FFA Degree. I plan on going to college after high school and getting my nursing degree.

My SAE consist of raising and showing Angus Cattle, I plain on perusing this throughout my high school career. Iím also involved in the Hunting and Fishing Club, Karate Club, Wheeling Happy Harvesters 4-H Club, and I am also a member of the Wheeling First Baptist Church Youth group.

Things I enjoy about the FFA are American Royal, Barnworming, and the awesome Ag Teachers that have made my experience in the FFA so far a blast!

Hi, my name is Clint. I am a sophomore at Chillicothe High School and this is my second year in FFA. I also have my Chapter FFA Degree.

Last year I received the Gold Leadership metal as a freshman.

I participated in Barnwarming, the American Royal, and all the FFA meetings. My SAE project my freshman year was the chickens that I owned and raised, this year I plan on expanding my SAE to goats. I play football and I am in track. After high school I plan on joining one of the military services.

Hi my name is Cindy. I am a sophomore at Chillicothe High School and I am in my second year of FFA. I currently hold the Chapter FFA Degree.

My SAE project consists of swine as well as mowing lawns and babysitting. My plans for the future are to raise and show more swine. My freshman year in FFA was very fun!

I participated in Barnwarming, American Royal, and FFA Week. Activities I am involved in outside FFA are CHS Sound Effects and FCCLA. FFA has given me many experiences in life that I will never forget. I encourage everyone to be in FFA.

This year I raised two pigs and showed them at the Livingston County Fair. I plain to go to college to play football, wrestle or play baseball, but I have not decided yet. I like the FFA because I like to meet new people and have fun. I am in three sports - football, wrestling, and baseball besides FFA.

Hi! My name is Camie. I am a sophomore at Chillicothe High School. I am a second year member of FFA. I am the Assistant President of the Chillicothe FFA Chapter. I currently hold a Chapter Degree.

My SAE project is raising and showing my goat, Betty. In the future I plan on breeding my goat and showing Betty and her baby. I also plan on getting a weather to show as well. I plan on going to college at the University of Missouri to be a vet. During my freshman year of FFA I enjoyed a lot of activities such as Barnwarming, American Royal, and showing in the local fairs. Other activities I am involved in besides FFA include: tennis, track, Hunting and Fishing Club, and SADD.

FFA is a great experience. I have learned a lot from FFA that will help me now and in the future. It has taught me responsibility, public speaking skills, and teamwork. I encourage everyone to be in FFA cause it teaches you life long skills and gives you many great opportunities.

Hi my name is Chase. I am in my second year in FFA. I have received my Greenhand Degree and my Chapter Degree. I have been to American Royal, Barnwarming, and many of the meetings.

My SAE project is raising and showing my steer. My plans for the future are to be a United State Navy Seal. Activities I participate in are wrestling and baseball. My SAE is three sows. My plans for the future are changing all the time. My past two years in the FFA have been fun! I have met a lot of knew people. I have participated in Barnwarming, American Royal, Leadership Adventure and the Officer Retreat. I am involved in the student council and FCCLA also.

Being in FFA has given me life long experiences that will stay with me all of my life. The FFA has been a great learning experience. I think if you join and work hard you will get a lot out of the FFA!

Hi my name is Tanner. I am a junior at Hale High School and this is my third year in FFA. I have a chapter degree. My SAE project is working on a farm in rural Hale. In my first year in FFA I learned that National Convention is an experience that everybody should do. In the future I hope to go on to college and get a degree in agriculture.

Some of the activities I am involved in besides FFA are softball, basketball, FBLA, and track. Some of the things I enjoy about FFA are getting to meet new people and going to national convention. The activity that I like the most in FFA is probably shop because I like to build things.

Hey! My name is Brittney. I am a sophomore and in my second year of FFA.I currently hold the Chapter FFA Degree. My SAE project is raising my rabbit, Cusco. I have gone to American Royal and Iím active in other FFA activities as well. I was on Poultry Contest Team my freshman year. I enjoy FFA and recommend everyone to join. Its experiences teach you many important skills needed. Not only does it teach you, but also you make tons of friends in the process. Hi. My name is Benjamin. I am a sophomore at Chillicothe High School and a member of the FFA. I currently have my Chapter FFA Degree; and I am the Assistant Historian. During my freshman year, my SAE project consisted of breeding cattle and show steers (Hereford), sows and show pigs, as well as chickens. I plan to continue with the same SAE project. I received the Star Greenhand sponsored by the Reed Family. The most exciting things in FFA last year were American Royal and Mr. Blackís third hour class.
Hi my name is Andrew. I am a sophomore at Chillicothe High School and a member of the Chillicothe FFA Chapter. I have received my Chapter FFA Degree. My SAE project is raising and showing market hogs. This was my first year showing and I really enjoyed it. I kept my hogs at the Litton Center. I am also in the Hunting and Fishing Club and Band. I like being in the FFA, it is a fun club to be in. I enjoy all the activities we participate in and all the Ag teachers they are nice. Hello! My name is Beth. I am a sophomore at CHS. Iím in my second year in FFA and I hold my Chapter Degree. I also serve as an Assistant Officer. My SAE consists of raising and showing a mixed jersey cow. Iím involved in band and serve as the volleyball stat person. Other organizations I participate in are CHS players, FCA-sophomore representative, Spanish Club, and SADD. The FFA activities I have enjoyed are Barnwarming, Leadership Adventure, and American Royal.
Hi! My name is Ashley. I am a junior at Southwest High School. I have received my Chapter FFA degree. I have been in FFA for three years now. I plan on going to college after high school. My SAE project consists of beef cows, horses, and dogs. Iím planning on starting my own cattle production. I was on the horse judging contest team. It was fun.

Iím also involved in softball, basketball, cheerleading, track, FCCLA, FCA, and S.C.A.R.Y.
I enjoy going on all the trips to American Royal, FFA Camp, and all the judging teams. I also like the classes.

Hi my name is Sam. I am currently a junior attending Bosworth R-5 High School and taking Ag classes at GRTS. I hold the Chapter FFA Degree. My SAE project is owning and operating a small cattle operation, as well as owning a few horses and mules. My plans for the future are to attend Missouri Valley College and study Ag Business and Ag Management; while Iím there I hope to join the rodeo team as well. In the past I have went on many trips with the FFA but the most memorable trip was when I went to National Convention in Louisville, Kentucky.

I like FFA because it gives me opportunities to meet people that I would have never met if it werenít for this organization. Some of the other activities I am involved in other than the FFA are basketball and baseball.

Hi! My name is Aaron. I am a sophomore at CHS and I am in my second year of FFA. I currently hold a Chapter Degree. I plan to go to college after high school and become a Fish Biologist for the Department of Conservation.

During my freshman year I had a SAE project that consisted of a market hog. I plant to have market hogs my entire high school career. Another activity that I am in is the Hunting and Fishing Club. Being in FFA has given me many experiences I will never forget, it is a great way to meet new people, and be involved with the community.

Hello, My name is Angela. Iím a sophomore and a Chapter FFA Degree holder. Iím also the Assistant Secretary for the Chillicothe Chapter. My SAE project includes cattle, swine, and equine. My future plans are to expand my numbers in my livestock and make a profit. Other awards I have been given are Hy-Vee Poultry award and the Amy Archer Award.

Iím involved in FCCLA, Hunting and Fishing Club, Key Club, Volleyball, and Track. The things I enjoy about FFA are the teachers and activities during the year, like Barnwarming.

Hello my name is Clifton. I am a senior at CHS and am in my fourth year of FFA. My SAE over the past four years has been working for Lauhoff Construction and lawn mowing. I plan on attending NCMC in Trenton and then transferring to NWMSU in Maryville majoring in Ag Education. Other activities I have been involved in besides FFA have been wrestling, baseball, and Skills USA. In FFA, I have enjoyed all the trips I have been on, Barnwarming, American Royal, and the shop classes I have participated in. Why hello! My name is Kourtnie. I am a senior at Chillicothe High School. I am a Second Vice President in our local FFA Chapter and currently hold the Chapter FFA Degree. My SAE projects for the past three years have included: working for the Chillicothe Parks Department, HyVee Kitchen, Parksí Shoes, and showing swine at the county and state fairs. I still work for the Parks Department and for Parksí Shoes. At CHS, I am on the Dance Team. I am also in CHS Players, History Club, Art Club, and Key Club. I enjoy FFA and have made many friends.
Hello my name is Alex. I am currently a senior at the Chillicothe High School. My SAE project is working at Hy-vee for the past 3 years as well as raising and showing market hogs. In the future, I plan to raise more swine, work at Hy-Vee and Grand 6 Movie Theater. I would like to move up in the work field and get more hours, maybe working full time. Iíve earned my Greenhand and Chapter FFA Degrees. I am also in the History Club. I enjoyed everything about FFA. I like my classes and teachers, I like going to the American Royal every year - that would be my favorite, but I enjoy all of the field trips we take. My name is Amanda. Iím a senior at Chillicothe High School and a four-year member of the Chillicothe FFA chapter. After High School I plan to attend the University of Kansas and major in biology specializing in genetic research. After college I plan on working in either an environmental lab or a medical lab. Iím an FFA member that isnít ďnormalĒ - I donít raise cows, sheep, or hogs; I havenít worked since I was 15 like others. I have had three different SAE since my freshmen year. My freshmen and sophomore year, I raised Northern Bobwhite Quail at the Litton Ag Center. At Christmas time my junior year I started working at Fastlane Family Entertainment Center. Iím currently employed by the Dollar Shop. FFA is a great organization. FFA is a place to meet new people, and have new experiences. Iíve made a lot of memories and learned a lot about who I am and what Iím going to do with my life.
