Construction of house by Building Trades class of Grand River Technical
School, Chillicothe R-II School District, Livingston County, Missouri
Notice to bidders is hereby given, that by the authority and direction of the Board of
Education of the Chillicothe R-II School District of Livingston County Missouri, bids will be
accepted for construction of a house by the Building Trades Program of the Grand River
Technical School during the 2019-20 school year.
The contract for construction of the house will be offered to the highest responsible and
qualified bidder; however, no bid will be considered that is less than $15,000 above the
construction cost of the house. Specifications required by the Building Trades Program for the
project can be picked up at the Grand River Technical School. Further, the Chillicothe R-II
School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities in the
Sealed bids for the construction of the house addressed to the Grand River Technical School and mailed or delivered to the office of the Assistant Director of the Grand River Technical School, 1200 Fair Street, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601, will be received
until 1:00 pm on the 9th day of November, 2018. The R2 Board of Education will accept or reject bids at the November 20, 2018
(moved to November 19) monthly board meeting.
All bids mailed or delivered should be clearly marked on the front of the envelope containing the words
"House Bid" and each bid must be unequivocal, legible, and signed by the person or persons proposing to purchase the property. Within 10 days of the acceptance of a successful bid, the bidder must execute a standard real estate contract providing for closing and final cash payment.
